About Mosses

The ski area of the Plateau of les Mosses – La Lécherette is related to that of Leysin : a bus takes you to another station in less than 10 minutes. These three related areas offer no less than 100 km of Alpine skiing, including 55 km of blue runs, 42 km of Red runs and 3 km from black runs. If you want to try night skiing, a lighted track located in the nearby village of La Forclaz will allow you to try a descent at night! Switzerland Ski and Snowboard School offers courses for all ages and levels, individual and collective. Children have a great snow, 'Les Mosses Park' Garden to learn skiing safely, on small descents to low slope. Access to the Park is free for all children up to the age of 9.

The founders have 42 km of slopes in classic and skating in the Nordic area. If you are fans of ski touring, opportunities around the resort are countless, regardless of your level and your abilities! Check with the guides to know the best site for you, if so go with one of them because the slopes are not marked. If you are fans of snowshoeing, eight tracks with a length varying from 1 to 9 km await you around the resort. You can even try a ride by dogsled on Mosses - the Lécherette plateau.

If you love skiing, you can make beautiful descents in luge, either on the slopes near the center of the village Les Mosses, or those located at the foot of the slopes near the garden's snow at the heart of the village of La Lécherette. You can also try the bubble on one of the two slides to the center of the village of Mosses. The slides are illuminated, allowing also to make beautiful night slides.

If you're looking for thrills, and you have a diving license, try so diving under the ice of Lake Lioson, 1'850 meters above sea level in the heart of the impressive circus. Sessions are offered every weekend by diving clubs. Chills guaranteed!

Annually, in the winter, stands the most famous sporting and cultural events being the international dog sled race. The latter attracts each year 70 mushers from across Europe. Check with the Tourist Office. The accommodation of the resort offer is varied, including restaurants hotels, apartments for rent, chalets accommodation group, host and the lodges rooms and cabins of altitude. Feel free to discover the cheese and local specialties in restaurants and Inns of the station. One of them, the Inn of the post, offers menus in game until early winter.
