The Valley of Joux offers to the amateurs of alpine skiing and snowboarding, four ski areas for a total of 42 km of pistes. At altitudes between 1’010 1’445 m above sea level, these areas are not without interest : children and beginners can learn to ski on an area quiet and away from crowds. The thrill seekers can benefit from the trails high above the lake of Joux from the heights of the Abbey. You want new sensations? Why not combine night skiing and to discover the regional gastronomy? The track of the East is lit in the evenings from Tuesday to Friday, allowing you to make a beautiful downhill in the evening and end the evening with a tasty fondue pot at a restaurant in a raw!

The Valley of Joux is also the cross-country skiing Paradise, with 220 km of slopes, in classic or in skating, around the lake or in the forest! Magnificent landscapes await ! Six routes of trails, snowshoe trails, at the start of the Thomassette, Great tits, du Marchairuz or du Mollendruz, await the lovers of hiking.

Lovers of skiing, enjoy the lake of Joux, the largest lake in the jura massif (9,5km2), which in the winter becomes a special natural ice rink dedicated to the joys of sliding and gliding! Lace up your skates, pull out the toboggan children to introduce them to the slides in this great field of games frozen, which resounds throughout the winter of the crazy laughs of the small and the great! Various toboggan runs are waiting for you; the most beautiful of the region starts at the summit of the Col du Marchairuz, and descends over a mile long !

If time does not allow you to get out, the sports centre of Vallée de Joux puts at your disposal a multi-purpose sports hall, a martial arts hall and fitness room, an indoor pool of 25 m with a pool of learning equipped with games for children, a skating rink and a shooting range (25 m for firearms and archery. You can benefit from sessions of wellness, massage, weight training and personal training.
