About Praz de Lys – Sommand

Praz de Lys–Sommand is a ski resort in the Haut-Giffre region of Haute-Savoie, situated on a vast alpine plateau at an elevation ranging from 1,240 to 1,966 meters. Its slopes offer panoramic views of Mont Blanc, the Jura Mountains, and the Aravis.

Twenty-three ski lifts serve 72 km of downhill ski runs spread across the slopes of Praz de Lys and Sommand. Each slope has a beginner’s area with reduced rates.

L’Espace des Lys also offers 50 km of cross-country ski trails and 30 km of snowshoe and hiking trails for the whole family.

Thanks to its high elevation, the resort enjoys good snow conditions. Several ski schools, including the ESF in Praz de Lys, welcome skiers of all skill levels.
